5D4N IN JAKARTA FOR DWP16

7/12/16
We took MAS to Jakarta. Got ourselves a grab car there and went straight to our hotel, Classic Hotel. Highly recommended. It's in the heart of the city. Staying here for the first two days. We then went to the Mangga Due Squara and the ITC Mall. The mall is so huge we got lost in it, we didnt know where to go cause everywhere looks the same. Nothing much here to be honest. Seriously. No good food no good things to buy. Everywhere sells exactly the same thing. It has too many floors and each and every shop sells those generic goods. I don't recommend anyone to go there unless you wanted to have a look at how huge the mall is... We were so hungry at night, we walked to a nearby 24 hours restaurant called BUBUR KWANG TUNG. Yeap it wasn't as safe if you're alone so never walk alone in Jakarta!

Second day was our adventure day. Never have I thought that walking under the blazing hot sun was such a terrible idea. We basically had to walk our way through the whole morning. We took a grab, i think to the church, The Jakarta Cathedral. We were so damn awkward there... Didnt know whether we should be inside. We went in and sat there for a moment, a moment of silent with God in the house of God. Then we made our way to the National Monument. Urgh it was dreadful. We had to walk, under the hot sun, for god knows how long. I would love to say that it was worth it but it wasn't. I was never a historical-building-enthusiast kinda girl, let alone under the hot sun. But I was glad I made it there. Although it wasn't a pleasant journey but I was glad we made it there. We found our way underground to the air conditioned hall and made our way up to the monument.

After we were done with the Monument, we made our way to have our nasi padang. I don't really remember how we got there.... I think we took a Grab again, or a cab cause Grab was a little bit troublesome. I'm not really sure. Nasi Padang was sooooo delicious. We didn't really know how and where to start because they came with so many plates with numerous amount of food. Okay my objective here is to guide you. We went to Nasi Padang Garuda nearby.

Nasi Padang, you pay for what you eat. No you cannot just have, for example, 4 pieces of fish in a plate, you only want to have 1 piece of it. No once you had 1 piece of fish, you consider eating the whole plate of fish. That's how it works. So choose wisely unless you are eating with like 4 person. LOL. For my case, we only had 2 stomach, 3 if you count in Leon's 2nd stomach AHAHA.

After that, we made our way to a massage! We walked there. It was highly recommended on Google. KOKUO MENTENG. We only got a foot massage. Then we took Grab bike to Plaza Indonesia. Grand Indonesia is just right opposite. One of it is a super atas mall. Something like first two floors of KLCC and Pavilion in Malaysia. A person like me can never afford whatever the mall can offer so we went straight to the opposite one, i think the Grand Indonesia. Oh it feels like home there. Felt much more comfortable roaming around Grand Indonesia. Things there were slightly affordable.

We then went back to our hotel and waited for Leon's friend to come pick us up to go to this famous local dish in Jakarta called Martabak. It was sooooo disgusting for me because it was filled with butter and all sort of fatty elements that I could not make myself to digest it. I did not even take a bite of it because i know i'll definitely be sick, just by looking at it made me wanted to puke. Leon and his friend ate the whole thing! Amazingly disgusting for me.... Maybe you can try and eat it though, maybe it's good. Maybe.

We had to check out from our hotel and went to the second hotel, Best Western Plus Kemayoran. BEST HOTEL EVERRRR, with the price we paid for. Not expensive at all! We then went to the Jiexpo to get our ticket for DWP then we proceed to a completely dead place, called ANCOL. We only wanted to go to the nearest MCD but we ended up paying for the entrance fee to get into the MCD. urgh it was helluva adventure. NEVER COME HERE. NEVER! I'm giving you a warning now, don't ever come here. It's not only dead, its a freaking mosquito breeding area. Despite all that, we managed to sort of enjoyed our time there.

Have I mentioned it was super warm there? Yeah it was! We basically sweat throughout the whole journey. Oh have i showed you the hotel? Here you go ;

Comfort at its best, oh and the huge ass mirror!

We were getting ready for our first day of rave :P

Never have I thought raving can be this tiring. I couldn't believe I get to see Garrix! Each and everyone of you have to go to a rave at least once in your entire lifetime. Its an experience I wish upon everyone. This is my fourth rave if you count Hardwell in KL live as one.

10/12/16
We stayed in throughout the morning because we got back to our place at 6am! It was soooo good but also freaking tiring can you imagine that... We took a Grab bike back to our hotel. Tough but manageable...

We ordered room service and food was amazingly good! We decided to go Mall of Indonesia for awhile just because we didn't wanna stay in for too long since we were already in Jakarta. We went for some shopping and then got back to our hotel quite early. I don't remember going anywhere after that but watch drama online because we had absolutely no place to visit anymore, let alone the weather was scorching hot!

Day 2 was sooooo exhausting but I get to see W&W, DJ SNAKE and HARDWELL? All in all, it was perfect! They were perfect!

11/12/16
Checked out and ready to leave!

Sorry I don't remember spending how much in total but the amount wasn't a lot. Probably around RM1500 maximum per person including hotels and also traveling around. So yeah Jakarta is not an expensive city to visit. 5 days and 4 nights in Jakarta was too much. Jakarta has basically nothing to see, just like Malaysia. Nothing at all. 3 days 2 nights is good enough for you to see the entire Jakarta.

With this being said, I'm signing off. xoxo see you again soon :)
